The story

GLOOMBORG started as satire — a market terminal that mocked the ones that charge £25,000 a year to tell you a story. Then a strange thing happened: by refusing to lie about what it was, it became real.

It's becoming not pretending to be.

Most products start fake and pretend to be real. GLOOMBORG started as a joke and became real by refusing to hide what it found — including the nulls, the misses, and the numbers that don't flatter anyone.

The method

Cards, not conclusions. We publish the evidence and let you draw the conclusion.
Receipts on everything. Every number carries its source, its coverage, its licence, and its age.
We publish our misses. The track record of honest dealing is the only moat that compounds.
Public domain, permanently. We archive records we can hold forever, not rent other people's feeds.
